The Operations and Mission Analysis Southwest (OMA‑SW) department delivers customer‑focused mission modeling and simulation for all Raytheon customer areas. Our teams develop, analyze, and evaluate integrated solutions across sensors, effectors, command and control, logistics, and operations. We create tools and methods to support campaign, mission, and system‑level analysis and visualizations aligned to customer requirements. We are seeking a Section Manager to lead a team of 8–15 engineers supporting multiple IRADs, CR&Ds, pursuits, and programs across Air and Space domains, Land and Air Defense, and Naval Power. In this role, you will guide teams in developing and integrating variable‑fidelity computer models and simulations to create kill‑chain testbeds that capture system and system‑of‑systems effects in complex threat environments. In addition to leadership responsibilities, you’ll have opportunities to contribute as an individual contributor—applying a holistic mindset and engineering expertise to develop and visualize solutions that support one or more projects. What You Will Do Work with teams to generate virtual and/or analytical solutions to identify technology gaps, demonstrate the operational benefits of new mission concepts in complex operational scenarios, develop requirements, and test systems. Accountable for the execution of work and delivery of products from your section Responsible for direct line management activities for the team, including performance development and appraisal (including salary planning), career development, staffing allocation and ensuring your team has the resources needed to perform their work, and ensuring adherence to company policies and administrative requirements. Work closely with internal and external stakeholders to ensure customer satisfaction and business alignment. Responsible for the flow of communications between your section and Raytheon management, flowing communications down to your team and providing status and reports up to Raytheon management. Interface with government and external contractor customers to determine requirements, collaborate in tool development, and perform an evaluation of end-to-end system needs to discover system interfaces and data connectivity requirements across the kill-chain. Work on the modeling of system and mission kill chains with tools such as Government, Commercial, and Raytheon simulations (e.g. AFSIM, RCADE). Give presentations of developed tools, capabilities, and analytical results to internal, external, and government customers. What You Will Learn Learn administrative and technical oversight of the section while maintaining current day-to-day engineering activities while supporting department and directorate level initiatives. As a section leader you will learn about talent acquisition, goal setting, career development, performance appraisals, and compensation processes. You will learn about employee compliance with company policies and procedures Qualifications You Must Have Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 10 years of prior relevant experience unless prohibited by local laws/regulations. Experience with simulation interfaces such as Distributed Interactive Simulation (DIS), High Level Architecture (HLA), and Test and Training Enabling Architecture (TENA). Experience with Numerical Optimization Techniques, Analysis of Alternatives, or Design of Experiments. Experience with Military Operations Analysis. Experience with scripting languages such as Python or MATLAB. Active and transferable U.S. government issued Secret security clearance is required prior to start date. Qualifications We Prefer Experience with Raytheon owned Modeling and Simulation tools (e.g. OpsTool or RCADE) or Government/Industry Modeling and Simulation tools (e.g. AFSIM, OneSAF, ESAMS, Brawler, JAAM, TGx, STK, TMAP). Experience with modeling and simulation of sensing systems and effectors. Experience with Design of Experiment, Statistical analysis, Data Analytics Familiarity with Concept of Operations (CONOPS), Campaign Modeling, Engagement and Mission Modeling, Threat Assessment & Modeling.
