Job Summary
16 hour Weekend Days
Availability to work 6:30 AM – 2:30 PM on Saturdays and Sundays.
Requirements:
Ability to respond quickly and effectively to emergency and non-emergency calls.
Strong report-writing and documentation skills.
Excellent customer service and community policing approach.
Experience handling emotionally charged situations and de-escalating conflicts.
Ability to investigate suspicious activity, security incidents, and safety concerns.
Ability to protect patients, visitors, staff, and hospital property.
Experience working in healthcare, security, law enforcement, military, or public safety environments is beneficial.

Qualifications
Required Qualifications High school diploma or GED
Valid Massachusetts driver's license
Ability to obtain and maintain: CPR/AED/First Aid certification
CPI De-Escalation Training certification
IAHSS Basic Officer Certification (within first 90 days)
Fluent English reading, writing, and speaking skills
Basic computer and report-writing skills
Preferred Qualifications Associate's or bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice or a related field
1–3 years of security, law enforcement, military, healthcare security, or related experience
Fluency in a second language

Ability to de-escalate conflicts and manage aggressive behavior
Critical thinking and sound judgment during emergencies
Crisis management and problem-solving abilities
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Strong documentation and incident report writing skills

Knowledge of local, state, and federal laws as they relate to security operations
Familiarity with access control systems, radios, databases, and security technology
Security, law enforcement, military, healthcare, behavioral health, or public safety experience
Experience working with individuals in crisis
Excellent interpersonal skills and a calm, professional demeanor
The ability to balance security enforcement with compassionate customer service in a hospital environment
