About the Team  DoorDash’s Commerce Platform is one of the fastest-growing segments in the company—distinct from our Marketplace business. Whereas Marketplace serves DoorDash’s own app customers, Commerce Platform powers merchant-owned eCommerce channels by fulfilling orders directly for their customers (e.g., a Petco.com order where Petco owns the checkout experience, and DoorDash fulfills delivery). Within Commerce Platform, the Logistics team focuses on cost efficiency and sustainable growth across Retail Merchants with multi-day service level agreements and Final Mile delivery in Parcel networks. Our mission is to make efficiency a competitive advantage —reducing costs for merchants so they can grow, while ensuring high-quality deliveries for customers and fair pay for Dashers. About the Role We’re hiring a highly analytical, execution-focused individual to help drive cost improvement initiatives. As the part of this team, you will: Partner with Finance on weekly Dasher cost performance, identifying trends, root causes, and missed targets. Work with Product, Engineering, Analytics, and Operations to design and execute initiatives that improve network efficiency and optimize Dasher pay. Contribute to  net new ideas and assess the impact of product-driven cost changes. Focus on scoping, sizing, and prioritizing cost improvement initiatives. Support operational tests to uncover high-impact levers for cost reduction. Partner with Product and Engineering to roll out cost initiatives that scale. Base salary is localized according to an employee’s work location. Ranges are market-dependent and may be modified in the future. For hourly roles: vacation accrued at about 1 hour for every 25.97 hours worked (e.g. about 6.7 hours/month if working 40 hours/week; about 3.4 hours/month if working 20 hours/week), and paid sick time accrued at 1 hour for every 30 hours worked (e.g. about 5.8 hours/month if working 40 hours/week; about 2.9 hours/month if working 20 hours/week).
