Your work will include supporting   licensing and collaborations , as well as asset deals   and   M&A   projects   and other commercial matters for AstraZeneca.   We’re   looking for a skilled, ambitious lawyer to help AstraZeneca become a world leader in our therapeutic areas of focus, including Oncology, Biopharmaceuticals (including cardiovascular, renal & metabolism; respiratory & immunology; and   infectious disease   therapies) and Rare Disease. Your specialist   expertise   will be key to achieving this ambition!   What you'll do In this Global role,   you’ll   provide   legal advice across AstraZeneca’s global organization, working closely with senior leaders. Using your knowledge of   licensing, IP,   commercial and corporate law you will provide drafting,   negotiation,   and business counsel support to lead the legal support for key transactions, driving projects to completion and helping to mitigate critical legal and business risks. The role will see you personally handling complex legal matters,   interpreting   and drafting contracts, and taking a global perspective and your work may involve overseas travel.   You’ll   foster a culture of knowledge-sharing and collaborative working with your counterparts across the Legal function.   Essential for the role Juris Doctor (JD) or equivalent legal degree with admission to practice in at least one U.S. jurisdiction 5+ years of experience with  pharmaceutical related licensing   and   collaboration work , supporting Business Development teams   Knowledge of and experience working in the life sciences sector   Strong leadership capabilities   Solution and action orientated approach   Excellent interpersonal and communication skills   Ability to manage complexity and cultivate innovation   Demonstrable accountability and integrity   Ability to act independently and drive projects to completion   Strong   working knowledge of   AI -enabled legal and business tools   Desirable for the role Previous   experience working in-house   Experience   advising   a global pharmaceutical business   Experience   advising on M&A    Understanding of manufacturing and supply chains   Experience of working in a global legal environment   Office Working Requirements When we put unexpected teams in the same room, we unleash bold thinking with the power to inspire life-changing medicines. The annual base pay for this position ranges from $ 184,228.00 - 276,342.00 USD. Our positions offer eligibility for various incentives—an opportunity to receive short-term incentive bonuses, equity-based awards for salaried roles and commissions for sales roles.
