Worker Type: Employee Job Post End Date: 07/30/2026 About this opportunity: Reporting to the Coordinator, Maintenance Planning and Scheduling, the Senior E&I Maintenance Planner will align internal departments and external vendors toward a common operational goal. This is achieved through the development of clear, detailed, and standardized work order job plans that guide execution activities. Effective planning and scheduling ensure that labor, materials, equipment, and contractor resources are utilized safely, efficiently, and cost-effectively, while maintaining compliance with company policies, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices. While this position is currently at Christina Lake, this posting could be used to fill vacancies at any of the Oil Sands Operations sites (Christina Lake, Christina Lake North, Foster Creek, or Sunrise, based on business need). Work Environment: This is a full-time employee position working a day shift rotation. All Oil Sands Operations sites have full-service camp facilities and recreational amenities. Transportation: Depending on your place of residence and your shift rotation, bus and/or air transportation to/from site is offered from designated departure points in select locations.  Foster Creek is serviced by flight Hubs in Calgary and Edmonton as well as bus transportation to site from La Corey, AB.   Christina Lake, Christina Lake North and Sunrise have service flight Hubs in Calgary and Edmonton. Saskatoon will become a service flight hub effective September 1, 2026 for Christina Lake, Christina Lake North and Sunrise only. There will also be bus transportation to these sites from La Corey, AB / Lac La Biche, AB effective September 1, 2026. What you’ll do: Follow site processes, business flows, procedures, and standard practices. Receive work notifications, prioritize jobs, and select work to be planned by priority and dates. Prepare work packages, including selecting parts, material, identifying trades, special tools, skills, external services, rentals, and documentation required with planned costs. Follow the Work Order life Cycle process and understand critical safe work procedures. Support KPI targets including but not limited to, planning backlog, ready backlog, capacity utilization & maintenance costs Provide planning as well as scheduling support for Shutdowns, Turnaround and Outage events as required. Liaise with all groups on site including but not limited to Maintenance, Operations, and Engineering. Provide coverage for maintenance scheduling as required Support continuous improvement for equipment bill of materials and material master / inventory request. Who you are: Our ideal candidate will have the following minimum requirements: Legally authorized to work in Canada. Minimum Journeyman Trade Certification with a minimum 8 years of experience in an industrial setting, at the Journeyman level. Extensive planning experience using Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS). Experience with planning and scheduling maintenance activities considered an asset. Experience with MOC’s, Turnaround process and asset management and/or SAP considered an asset. We acknowledge the value of transferrable skills and may consider equivalent combinations of experience and education should you not meet a specific requirement. As this position has been identified as safety sensitive, employment of a final candidate selected for this position will be conditional upon successful completion of required pre-employment medical and alcohol/drug assessments. For this position you will be required to maintain a Class 5 driver's license, a satisfactory driving record, and adhere to the appropriate Company policies and guidelines. A driver's abstract will be one of the background checks requested in the pre-employment screening for the final candidate.
