Position Summary
The Senior IT Enterprise Applications Analyst – Production Surveillance supports Production and Operations by maintaining and enhancing production surveillance systems, with a focus on IFS Merrick Route Surveillance also known as P2 Explorer and related applications.
This role is responsible for ensuring system reliability, data integrity, and alignment across production data platforms. In addition to core support responsibilities, the Senior Analyst is expected to take increasing ownership of system configuration, data flows, and cross-system integration, while partnering closely with business stakeholders.
Over time, this role is expected to evolve into a key contributor in governance and prioritization of system enhancements, including participation in and eventual leadership of the Route Surveillance (RS) change advisory process.
Level and salary commensurate with background and experience.
Essential Job Functions
Application Support & Maintenance
Provide day-to-day support for production surveillance applications including IFS Merrick Route Surveillance, Field Operator, and ProCount
Act as a senior point of contact for Production and Operations teams for application and data-related issues
Triage, troubleshoot, and resolve incidents and service requests in accordance with SLAs
Lead root cause analysis for recurring or complex issues and drive long-term resolution
Liaise with vendor support teams as needed for issue resolution
Configuration & System Management
Perform Route Surveillance configuration updates, including mapping SCADA tags to system objects
Ensure synchronization between ProCount, Field Operator, GeoSCADA, Canary SCADA historian system, and Route Surveillance
Translate business requirements into system configurations and enhancements
Contribute to design and implementation of scalable configuration standards
Data Analysis & Troubleshooting
Investigate and resolve data issues in Field Operator trends, cases, and alerts
Analyze production data flows across integrated systems to ensure data integrity
Develop and optimize SQL queries for troubleshooting, reporting, and data validation
Identify systemic data issues and recommend sustainable solutions
Enhancements, Upgrades & Continuous Improvement
Track new functionality and releases from vendors and assist in planning upgrades
Participate in system upgrades, patches, and enhancements following change control processes in a SOX controlled environment
Identify recurring issues and recommend improvements to enhance system stability and performance
Facilitate and contribute to prioritization and planning of system enhancements
Collaboration & Documentation
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including members of IT, Production, and Operations departments
Document configurations, processes, and troubleshooting steps in knowledge repositories
Communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders
Governance
Participate in discussions related to prioritization of Route Surveillance enhancements and changes
Contribute to the development of processes for managing system changes and improvements
Build the technical and business context required to support future leadership of the RS change advisory process
Over time, take on increased responsibility in coordinating and guiding enhancement decisions across stakeholders

Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field
5 years of experience in enterprise application support within a client-server production environment
Experience supporting oil and gas field operations or upstream production environments
Familiarity with IFS Merrick suite of applications including ProCount, Field Operator, and Route Surveillance
Strong hands-on experience writing SQL queries for data analysis and troubleshooting
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
Effective written and verbal communication skills with a customer-service mindset

Preferred Qualifications
Experience working with time-series data systems including GeoSCADA, Canary historian, or similar platforms
Exposure to data integration between operational and enterprise systems
Experience developing data products and ETL solutions in Snowflake or Microsoft Fabric
Experience developing and delivering solutions in Power BI or Spotfire
Experience with the Atlassian product suite including Jira Service Management and Confluence
Experience contributing to system governance, prioritization, or change management processes
