Senior Meetings & Events Planner

Location: New York City, NY (One Manhattan West; Onsite) The Senior Meetings & Events Planner will join the Workplace team and operate independently to plan and execute meetings & events onsite for Accenture's NY Corporate Office. They will coordinate event delivery across all Workplace departments, communicating with the appropriate stakeholders, and ensuring quality assurance. All office interactions are expected to be conducted with a high degree of hospitality and professionalism. Key Responsibilities: Coordinates services for meeting and events, such as setup, facilities, communicating catering and AV needs, wayfinding, special needs/assistance requirements, and security Works closely with reception, facilities, local technology, and other Workplace departments to ensure quality service leading up to and on event day Use technology to manage the planning processes for meetings and events, including registrations, approvals, budget and actual spend, calendars, logistics, attendee registrations, etc. Ensure support for assigned meeting and events and completion of procurement processes like purchase orders, billing and final reconciliation Establish relationships with internal (cross-functional) groups to ensure consistent delivery of service and resolve all escalations related to meetings or events appropriately Create event portfolio to show space set up options and other event options to clients upfront Manage relationships and contracts with service providers to deliver value-added services and competitive costs Monitor and manage compliance with existing policy and recommend changes to align with changing business needs Provides support to communicate policy to Accenture personnel and external suppliers Comfortable assisting with any Workplace position and showcasing a willingness to help wherever needed Basic Qualifications: Minimum of 2 years of meeting planning experience in a hospitality or professional setting Minimum of 2 years planning and executing high-end internal and/or external client/customer-facing events Minimum of 2 years in a customer service role Preferred Skills: Extensive knowledge of food & beverage industry trends, and dietary restrictions Experience with a network of catering vendors Passionate about customer service Professional Skills: Critical thinking and problem-solving skills Ability to take ownership and make decisions independent of client involvement (proactive) Proven ability to work independently and as a team member Willing to step outside role to complete tasks in other areas of the Workplace Excellent communication skills (written and oral) Excellent organizational, multitasking and time management skills Highly responsive, flexible and adaptable High level of professionalism Ability to work with highly confidential material and maintain confidentiality Seeks out challenges and opportunities to grow Business partner attitude and approach Ability to work with all levels of personnel High business acumen Compensation at Accenture varies depending on a wide array of factors, which may include but are not limited to the specific office location, role, skill set, and level of experience.
