Dewberry is seeking an experienced Senior Site/Civil Project Manager for our Richmond, VA office. This is an opportunity to lead impactful site/civil design projects within the higher education, public sector and institutional marke ts, influence strategic growth, and help shape a high‑performing team serving public‑sector clients. Responsibilities
Project & Technical Leadership
Lead teams in all aspects of site/civil design including site layout and planning, grading, stormwater management, erosion & sediment control, utilities, roadways, and permitting
Manage the design and delivery of multiple, concurrent projects
Ensure project quality, schedule, and budget expectations are met.
Client Engagement & Business Development
Serve as a primary point of contact for clients and agency staff
Participate in public and construction meetings as needed
Support business development, marketing efforts, and proposal preparation
Team Development
Oversee, mentor, and train junior and mid‑level team members
Help foster a collaborative, learning‑focused team culture
Required Skills & Required Experience
BS degree in Civil Engineering or related field
Minimum 8 years of directly related experience
Virginia Professional Engineer (PE) license required
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Strong proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D , stormwater modeling software, and Microsoft Office
Proven ability to manage multiple project assignments concurrently
Desire to work in a team‑oriented, collaborative environment
Experience working with clients and maintaining project budgets and schedules
Ability to provide technical expertise and guidance to design staff

Salary Range
The projected range for this position is $155,000 - $195,000 annually. Depending upon other factors, i.e., skills, experience, location, market conditions, the range may vary slightly.
