Senior SQL Database Developer

One of our direct clients is looking for a Network Engineering professional to work with them and their customer program teams in a collaborative manner to plan and execute assigned work stream tasks as they related to the overall client program. This role will cover 3 customer locations in Phoenix, AZ, Little Rock, AR and Brown Deere, WI. What are the top 5-10 responsibilities for this position? (Please be detailed as to what the candidate is expected to do or complete on a daily basis) Create queries on large data sets Create stored procedures, functions and triggers as needed Extract, transform and load data via Import/Export wizards and SSIS Tune queries to obtain maximum performance where necessary Develop tables, indexes, constraints Optimize database code by analyzing query execution plans Research new ways to improve existing functionality What software tools/skills are needed to perform these daily responsibilities? SQL Server 2008, 2012, 2014; SSIS, query analyzer, profiler What skills/attributes are a must have? Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience 5 or more years of SQL Server database development including query optimization, performance tuning and index utilization 5 or more years with T-SQL; writing complex queries, stored procedures and functions What skills/attributes are nice to have?
