Site Assessment and Remediation Specialist

NV5 performs Environmental Site Assessments (ESA) and remediation across the country and in all market sectors. We are a team of licensed professionals, including registered geologists, engineers, remediation experts, industrial hygienists, and safety specialists. Join our Bay Area, California team! We are looking for a local Bay Area professional to support environmental site investigation and remediation projects, with a focus on soil and soil vapor sampling. This position will also play a key role in overseeing the installation and operation of a Soil Vapor Extraction (SVE) system. Responsibilities Assist field investigations by collecting soil, soil vapor, and water samples Document site activities Direct work of subcontractors as applicable Prepare written reports, exhibits, and drawings Calibrate and operate various pieces of field equipment Work with varying degrees of supervision Qualifications Degree in physical sciences, environmental science, or engineering 1-3 years of site and remediation (soils and vapor)experience is required   Strong oral and written communication skills Experience conducting field assessments Competent-to-advanced user of MS Office Suite GIS, AutoCAD experience a plus California driver’s license The pay range for this position in California is $90,000 to $110,000 per year. Base pay offered may be higher or lower depending on the candidate's job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and location. Restricted stock units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, depending on the position offered.
