Small Parts Assembler - Second Shift

Overview The Small Parts Fabricator operates and maintains workstations to assemble, fit, align, and adjust fabricated parts, components, or units according to specifications by following established manufacturing procedures. Uses hand tools, power tools, and other manufacturing assembly line equipment to assemble units. Tests and calibrates parts and mechanisms to ensure all components meet tolerances, product specifications, and quality standards. May repair or refit parts or units that fail tests or tolerance levels. The Small Parts Fabricator works under the close direction of senior personnel in the functional area and possesses a moderate understanding of general aspects of the job. Responsibilities Perform assembly of aircraft and tooling components using rivets, fasteners, or other common metal assembly methods Uses shop equipment and tooling to drill, cut, grind, form, crimp, rivet, and perform other common metal fabrication operations Read, understand and interpret engineering drawings and specifications to guide activities and ensure quality Follow verbal, written, and electronic work instruction to complete tasks Keep daily production records and record pertinent manufacturing data where required Learn, practice and follow all safety standards and policies and ensure a safe operating environment, including use of appropriate protective equipment and identification of potential safety concerns Maintains a clean and organized work environment.
