Department: 37822 Carolinas Medical Center - Pre Transplant Center Status: Full time Benefits Eligible: Yes Hou rs Per Week: 40 Schedule Details/Additional Information: 4 x 10 hour days with rotating weekend and holiday coverage. Typically 6a-4p. Currently, transplant pharmacists rotate monthly through kidney, liver, heart, and outpatient clinic services. This role will help support the tremendous growth seen across all transplant programs as well as expanded transplant clinic services. Pay Range: $54.90 - $82.35 Job Description Serves as preceptor for pharmacy students, residents, and healthcare learners as assigned    Mentors, orients, trains, and assists with the performance evaluation of pharmacy teammates, residents, and students as assigned Directs and checks the accuracy of the work of pharmacy support team members in accordance with the organization’s policies and procedures to ensure safe and efficient workflows, service standards, and regulatory compliance Must be able to demonstrate knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served. Must demonstrate knowledge of the principles of growth and development over the life span and possess the ability to assess data reflective of the patient's status and interpret the appropriate information needed to identify each patient's requirements relative to his/her age-specific needs, and to provide the care needed as described in the department's policies and procedures. Age-specific information is developed further in the departmental job standards. Licensure, Registration, and/or Certification Required : Licensed in the state(s) of practice or eligible for reciprocity required Immunization and non-vaccine injectable certification required based on area of practice Credentialing and privileging required based on area of practice Education Required: Bachelor’s or Doctorate degree in pharmacy from an ACPE-accredited school of pharmacy required, or an FPGEC certificate from NABP Experience Required: No experience required. For Transplant Pharmacy, the preferred candidates will possess relevant solid organ transplant experience in a hospital or outpatient clinic.
