Responsibilities
What You'll Do
The purpose of the Staff Accountant is to provide management of financial information by researching and analyzing accounts and assisting in preparing financial statements.
Assist in preparation and maintenance of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations
Prepare, review, and post journal entries to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting
Support the monthly close process, providing insight and analysis on variances from budget and prior periods
Perform regular reconciliations of bank statement to maintain accurate financial records
Aid in budgeting process by providing necessary financial data and analysis
Assist with requests for documentation and explanations of financial results
Maintain strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting
Identify opportunities to streamline accounting processes and enhance efficiency
Use discretion and independent judgement in daily decisions while maintaining a high level of confidentiality andprofessionalism
May be required to cross train and complete other duties as needed
Qualifications
Essential Qualities for Success
Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field
1-2 years of accounting experience preferred
Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software
Highly proficient in Microsoft Excel
Excellent verbal and written interpersonal and communication skills
Excellent negotiation and conflict resolution skills
Demonstrated ability to adapt in a fast-paced environment
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
Behaviors must reflect integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality
Physical Requirements
Good visual acuity and ability to communicate effectively.
Must be able to sit or stand for prolonged periods of time

The pay range for this position is $55,000 - $65,000 annualized. Exact compensation is determined by factors such as relevant geographic location, education, certifications, experience, job level, shift, and organizational needs.
