Today, we are a global team of nearly 7,000 and our main objective is to create opportunities for our team members to explore, learn, and grow – all while seeing their ideas come to life and celebrating the differences that make us who we are and the work we do possible.   Staff Counsel Reports to: Senior Corporate Counsel Location: Boston, MA – hybrid Position Overview The Staff Counsel position is primarily responsible for supporting our Sales and Procurement organizations by drafting and negotiating complex technology agreements and assisting in the management of the company’s standard terms and conditions documents.  You will work closely with the Company’s Sales, Finance, Commercial Desk, License Compliance, Procurement, and Security teams to help drive deals with PTC’s customers and vendors and ensure consistent application of corporate policies and procedures.  You will also have responsibility for supporting our Dispute Resolution and Litigation teams in this role and be tasked with working alongside more senior members of the legal team to actively drive disputes towards resolution.          Your Day-To-Day : Support the Sales organization in the contracting process with customers Review, draft, and advise others on a wide range of technology agreements such as cloud/SaaS agreements, software license agreements, partner agreements, professional services agreements, and security agreements Support internal business teams in structuring and negotiating agreements with vendors Serve as a point of contact across internal PTC organizations, including Sales, Commercial Desk, Finance, Marketing, Channel, and Procurement Provide legal counsel to business colleagues on legal questions relating to various business issues, including identifying legal risks associated with contracts and providing advice to manage those risks Support the Dispute Resolution team, including providing legal counsel to stakeholders related to active or potential disputes, and playing a significant role in driving disputes toward resolution Support the Litigation team, including respond to subpoenas, assist with eDiscovery-related projects, conduct legal research, assist senior lawyers with active litigation matters, and play a lead role in litigation reporting initiatives Opportunity to support other legal department projects and initiatives as the need arises Basic Qualifications : Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree 1-3 years of dedicated contract negotiation experience, with experience in SaaS agreements and technology licensing strongly preferred A genuine interest in litigation and dispute resolution; prior experience preferred but not required Required Experience/Qualifications : Membership in good standing of the Massachusetts Bar or other U.S. state bar associations Clear, concise, written and oral communication skills; strong interpersonal skills with the ability to interact comfortably with senior stakeholders Ability to work as a team-player in a global organization Exceptional judgment, organizational skills, and attention to detail Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities, and to provide timely and practical legal advice in a fast-paced and dynamic business environment Willingness to take on additional responsibilities and participate in projects as needed This is a hybrid role, requiring 2-3 days per week on-site in the Boston office PTC carefully considers a wide   variety   of factors   when   determining   compensation.   The   anticipate d   annual salary range for this position   is   between $104,000 - 145,000 .   The salary range   reflects   a good-faith estimate of compensation at the time of posting.   A ctual   compensation   may vary based on a candidate's skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
