Position Summary:
The Store Manager oversees a retail location’s staff and activities to achieve a profitable store location.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Maintaining exemplary customer service within the store and establishing special business relationships with our customers so they will choose to do business with us rather than our competitors
Implementing strategies to help meet store goals and objectives
Recruiting, developing, and motivating store employees who exceed internal and external customer expectations
Work with approved supplier’s representatives to grow employee’s knowledge of lines
Maintain a safe workplace environment, Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations
Marketing within your community to increase market share and store revenues
Resolving customer complaints for increased customer satisfaction
Controlling labor hours, cash, store audits, core returns, cycle counts and shrinkage
Inventory protection, asset management, operational and safety issues
Help maintain a neat and clean store environment for our customers and employees
Oversees staff and fulfills staffing needs for regular hours, as well as high-traffic times
Maintains and motivates a positive sales team through communication, employee engagement and evaluations
Confirms daily sales reports and cash receipts; ensures monies are deposited regularly, and reports are submitted as prescribed by company policies
Develops, oversees, and maximizes retail budget and sales
Ensures inventory data is correct by performing spot inventory counts and checks
Collaborates with regional managers to develop, coordinate, and identify cost-effective strategies
Other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS/COMPETENCIES
Valid driver’s license and/or reliable transportation
Must be at least 18 years of age
A minimum of two years of store supervisory and/or management experience
Heavy Duty Industry experience required
ASE (T1-T8) (P2) Parts Certification preferred
Possesses understanding of inventory controls, stocking levels, and seasonal inventory shifts
Exceptional customer service and communications skills (both written and oral)
Possesses personal drive, self-motivation, and initiative to accomplish company goals
Ability to work flexible schedule
High School Diploma (or GED or High School Equivalence Certificate); Associate degree in Business Administration preferred.
