You will serve as a resource for drivers, customers, and location leadership while helping maintain compliance with company, safety, and regulatory standards. Road Supervisor Responsibilities: Coach, support, and evaluate drivers in the field Conduct driver observations and safety reviews Assist with accident response and documentation Provide driver training, coaching, and retraining when needed Address safety concerns and document performance issues Support driver scheduling, dispatch, and daily operations Partner with customers, drivers, and leadership to resolve service concerns Assist with DOT compliance, drug-testing records, and safety documentation Drive routes periodically and provide operational support as needed Road Supervisor Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent Valid CDL required Transportation, transit, school bus, or supervisory experience preferred Experience coaching, training, or leading hourly employees preferred Strong communication and customer-service skills Ability to work with drivers, customers, management, and union representatives Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint Basic knowledge of vehicle maintenance and safety practices Strong organization and problem-solving skills Ability to work flexible hours, including occasional Saturdays At First Student, we do more than provide transportation — we help move communities forward.
