Title: Sustainable Mobility Specialist
Location: Candidates must reside in New York state, with preference for someone in New York City or the Hudson Valley.
Work Arrangement: Hybrid schedule with approximately 1–2 days per week in the office.
Please Note: Employment for this position is contingent upon contract-related approvals. Candidates selected for hire should anticipate a potential start date in the September–November 2026 timeframe.

Our line of business is growing and our client base is expanding quickly. We are seeking a Sustainable Mobility Specialist with the skills and interest to conduct targeted community outreach, data analysis, presentation and report development, and contribute to team strategy for various projects. You will mostly support projects for New York State but may have opportunities to support projects in other states or at the Federal level. You should have a background or interest in sustainable transportation and air quality. You must be comfortable speaking with leaders of other organizations and spearheading initiatives and partnerships. Your most important responsibilities will be to foster relationships with various employers or organizations and to lead and/or support meetings and public events to promote programs and strategies focusing on the use of sustainable transportation modes, including ridesharing, microtransit, micromobility, transit, electric vehicles, etc. You will analyze and synthesize data to contribute to team strategies designed to increase the adoption and deployment of sustainable transportation modes. You will also develop presentations for internal and external stakeholders, contribute to reporting efforts and business development pursuits, and write about sustainable transportation.
Some travel may be required within the region for meetings and events. Events may happen during the daytime or occasional evening and/or weekend hours.

Primary Responsibilities:
Work with a team to support client(s) initiatives and promote sustainable mobility options. Identify and meet the needs of clients within established guidelines.
Lead strategic efforts for identifying promotional opportunities and building relationships with new stakeholders.
Facilitate meetings and outreach events with stakeholders.
Write coherently and persuasively about program strategies and successes.
Develop and lead presentations to internal and external stakeholders.
Conduct data analysis and market research about transportation modes, technologies, policies, and programs.
Contribute to marketing and communication efforts designed to achieve program goals.
Provide technical assistance to help organizations deploy sustainable mobility programs, strategies and tactics.
Contribute to business development proposals and capture meetings.
The position requires experience in one or more of the following areas:
Community engagement experience with stakeholders and community-based organizations.
Transportation programs relating to carpooling, vanpooling, micromobility, microtransit, and electric vehicles.
Public relations or promotion of a product, organization, or service.
Hosting or supporting presentations, events, and meetings with clients or stakeholders.
Utilizing data, technological tools, training workshops, and innovative techniques to promote participation in programs.
Collaborate with a project team and clients to achieve established goals.
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Sustainability, Environmental Science, Planning, Business, Marketing, Communications, or related subject.
2+ years of related work experience.
Preferred Qualifications & Skills:
Master’s degree in Sustainability, Environmental Science, Planning, Business, Marketing, Communications, or related subject.
Experience supporting the launch or deployment of operational programs, products, and services that reduce single occupancy vehicle (SOV) commuting and vehicle miles of travel (VMT).
Skilled in Microsoft Office Suite and comfortable using digital technology and possess a willingness to learn how to use new software and digital applications.
Adept oral (public speaking) and written communications skills and strong attention to detail.
Outgoing and personable, comfortable speaking in groups or one-on-one settings.
Strong project management skills and the ability to work on multiple projects under strict deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Strong writing capabilities.
Demonstrated interest or background in transportation and environmental issues.
Capable of organizing own schedule to balance time needed for prospecting, relationship-building, meetings, and events to achieve target goals.
Punctual to meetings and events.
