Description of Work Unleash your potential and make an impact!  The purpose of this position Is to plan, develop and provide Instruction and assessment activities for Academy cadets. Establish and maintain cadet academic records. Prepare and submit cadet academic awards recommendations. Identify, request and manage all course materials required for cadet Instruction to cadets. Identify opportunities to reinforce subject material and learning experiences with other activities. Identify classrooms, facilities, or materials which facilitate the learning process. Demonstrate student proficiency by Identifying or developing and administering assessment tools. Develop personalized Lesson Plan to meet the requirements of the curriculum. This position will also assist during orientation days and during the acclimation phase as directed. The acclimation phase Includes: assisting with orientation and registration, assisting with Pre-Challenge Life Skills Classes, assisting with administration of the TABE test, assisting the Counseling Department, and providing Medical Transport. Responsible for providing secondary school Instruction to students assigned to New London and Salemburg Tarheel Challenge Academy's. Knowledge Skills and Abilities/Management Preferences Recruitment Range: $39,244.00 - $53,962.00 DPS uses the Merit-Based Recruitment and Selection Plan to fill positions subject to the   State Human Resources Act   with the most qualified individuals.      The Minimum Education and Experience (E&E)   is REQUIRED to   qualify for this position. Management Preferences, including Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs), are not   required   but may be used to   determine   the pool of most qualified applicants.
