The Tire Building Operator is responsible for operating high-investment Commercial Radial Truck Tire building equipment to accurately assemble and position all required tire components for the construction of "green" Commercial Radial Truck Tires. The operator must ensure proper component placement, adherence to quality standards, and efficient equipment operation throughout the tire-building process.
HOW YOU WILL MAKE AN IMPACT
Load and remove stock cassettes and books
Make minor machine adjustments to ensure proper stock length and placement
Complete quality checks on products including material splices, standards, and corrective actions using metric measurements and formulas.
Read specifications, use hand tools, tape measures and other gauging devices to monitor current and ongoing product quality.
React quickly to equipment downtime or other extraordinary condition, and must notify supervision whenever such conditions occur
Perform actions with a control panel interface, both automatic and manual
Execute basic sequencing process on Tire Build machines
Possess and apply problem solving skills in case of machine cycle issues
Must be able to read and understand written and oral instructions: as to specs, procedures, tolerances, and various construction and quality requirements.
Communicate with other inbound and outbound operators, production operators, other crew members and supervision.
Drives forklifts and operate other material handling equipment as needed and is responsible for the proper care and safe operation of the material handling equipment.
WHAT YOU BRING TO THE ROLE
HS Diploma or equivalent
Successful completion of Work Keys Assessment (SILVER)
Ability to lead and promote teamwork in a production environment
Ability to read and understand specifications and follow both written and verbal instructions
Basic computer skills required
Must be willing and able to work 12-hour rotating shifts, including days, nights, and weekends
ADDITIONAL WAYS TO STAND OUT
Previous experience in manufacturing environment
Ability to operate Forklift.

The job is within a non-climate controlled environment where you will be exposed to temperature swings (hot/cold), forklift and pedestrian traffic, and noise.
The role involves various physical tasks, including lifting, bending, stooping, pushing, pulling, and operating sit -down tugger, with comprehensive training provided.
