Responsibilities Performs all functions of case finding, abstraction, database maintenance, report production, and patient follow-up for the trauma registry. Qualifications This is a hybrid position with a flexible schedule. *Must have a strong medical coding background. Education Associate’s Degree Minimum of Associate in health-related field Required In lieu of degree - 4 years of clinical healthcare experience or 4 years data abstraction or coding experience with a High School Diploma or equivalent. Work Experience No experience required Required 1 year experience in medical coding in a hospital setting Preferred 2 years Work experience with strong emphasis on data integrity and analysis Preferred Licenses and Certifications None Required RN - Registered Nurse - Georgia State Licensure and/or NLC/eNCL Multistate Licensure Preferred CSTR - Certified Specialist Trauma Registry Preferred ICD-10 certification Preferred CAISS - Certified Abbreviated Injury Scale Specialist Preferred Business Unit : Company Name Piedmont Augusta Hospital
