About this role Veterans Transition Program-Technical Relationship Manager, Aladdin – Associate We recognize that veterans bring a unique and valued perspective to BlackRock thanks to their extraordinary backgrounds and experiences.  The Veterans Transition Program is designed to support veterans in making the transition from military life to the civilian workforce. The Program offers participants the opportunity to work at the world’s largest asset manager for six months. On completion of the Program, successful participants will be offered permanent employment at BlackRock. Over the course of the Program, participants will: Join teams and have an immediate impact; Immerse themselves in the work of their teams; Gain an understanding of how BlackRock serves its clients; Be supported through training and mentorship; Get exposure to senior leaders; Participate in social and networking opportunities. Program Structure: The program begins with an orientation where you’ll learn about BlackRock’s principles, mission, purpose, and culture. You’ll learn about the asset management industry and get an in-depth look at how BlackRock serves its clients.  Following orientation, you’ll join your team and gain insights into the day-to-day life of an Associate as you develop subject-matter expertise through on-the-job learning and our industry-leading technology, Aladdin. Aladdin® is an operating system for investment managers that seeks to connect the information, people, and technology needed to manage money in real time. The Aladdin platform combines risk analytics with portfolio management, trading, compliance, and operations tools on a single platform to power informed decision-making, effective risk management, efficient trading, and operational scale. Aladdin is used by a community of over 200 institutional clients around the world, including BlackRock. There are over 50,000 end users of Aladdin globally. The team is comprised of 800+ professionals responsible for implementing and supporting our Aladdin clients, sales and marketing, and ensuring the Aladdin Community maximizes Aladdin products through engagement and education. We are seeking an Aladdin Technical Relationship Manager to work closely with Aladdin clients to be their trusted consultant, problem solver, and business partner – and to take full advantage of Aladdin. Key responsibilities include: Own relationships with client teams and help them use Aladdin to achieve their firm’s goals  Able to map Aladdin Product vision across a client’s business / strategic initiative and articulate the value. Understands client’s Aladdin adoption and develops a strategy for approaching clients on product & harvesting opportunities.  Acts as a consultative partner to senior client stakeholders, providing product insights Demonstrates strong segment and industry knowledge; accountable for multiple user segments ​/ clients. Apply deep client and technical expertise to shape regional themes and identifies risks and opportunities. Ensure client feedback on product is communicated to the Product Managers and is tracked through successful development and deployment.  Keep updated on regulatory and operational industry trends to help your clients stay ahead of changing times  Engage with clients to define key strategic and tactical initiatives, leveraging your internal network to oversee and execute cross-functional project solutions  Navigates across the firm to drive successful outcomes. Proactively manages through clear communication and transparency, and coaches junior team members. Qualifications 2+ years of work experience in the financial services industry Strong understanding of FinTech and the investment lifecycle Working understanding of public / private markets Familiarity with buy-side investment management workflows such as trading, operations and compliance OR Experience advising clients on portfolio analysis, portfolio optimization, risk decomposition and performance attribution Outstanding communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex concepts simply and clearly to clients Ambitious approach to large, complex projects, with a flair for problem solving Self-starter who enjoys a fast-paced, high-intensity environment and works well as part of a multi-disciplinary global team Preferred Skills and Experience Prior experience in Aladdin, eFront, or other private markets financial technology is a plus  Experience with SQL, UNIX or modern programming languages Where will I be based? Additionally, employees are eligible for an annual discretionary bonus, and benefits including healthcare, leave benefits, and retirement benefits.
