We’re filling this role for a client, a premier West Coast active lifestyle company, that blends resort-style amenities, family programming, and community into a single shared membership where members can do it all. ABOUT THE ROLE The Vice President / General Manager serves as the senior leader for a campus or regional portfolio, responsible for delivering exceptional member experiences, operational excellence, team leadership, and financial performance. This role is critical in driving our sports, outdoor recreation, and active lifestyle-forward culture while building strong community engagement and maximizing long-term member loyalty.   The VP/GM leads cross-functional club operations including fitness, sports, food & beverage, aquatics, family programming, hospitality, facilities, and member engagement. This leader acts as both a strategic operator and culture builder, creating an environment where team members thrive and members feel deeply connected to our community. RESPONSIBILITIES - Lead all aspects of club and campus operations with accountability for revenue growth, profitability, member satisfaction, and team engagement. - Drive membership growth, retention, and utilization through elevated hospitality and programming experiences. - Ensure operational excellence across safety, cleanliness, service standards, and facilities management. - Build and develop high-performing leadership teams across operations, fitness, hospitality, and programming. - Champion our culture and ensure alignment with the company’s Code of Culture. - Partner cross-functionally with corporate leadership teams including operations, marketing, finance, people operations, and member experience. - Create a strong community presence through events, and member engagement initiatives. WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR - 10+ years of leadership experience in active lifestyle, hospitality, fitness, resorts, private clubs, or multi-unit operations. - Strong financial acumen with experience managing complex P&Ls. - Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment. - Proven success leading large operational teams in customer-centric environments. - Exceptional leadership presence with the ability to inspire, coach, and develop teams. - Passion for sports, outdoor recreation, active lifestyle, wellness, recreation, and community-building.
