ABOUT THE TEAM
The Tactical Recon & Strike team at Anduril develops aerial small drones (Group 1-3) and all equipment to test, deploy and operate. The team is responsible for taking products like Ghost, Anvil, Bolt and Altius from concepts to operational systems. We work in close coordination with specialist teams to solve some of the hardest problems facing our customers. We are looking for software engineers, hardware engineers, roboticists, and front-end mobile developers who are excited about creating a powerful robotics platform that can be tasked and viewed in real-time through a variety of interfaces.
ABOUT THE JOB
We are seeking a Technical Program Manager to lead the end-to-end technical delivery of complex hardware and software development programs. In this role, you will own technical planning and cross-functional execution from concept through mass production, ensuring program success across engineering, supply chain, and customer touchpoints.
Success in this position hinges on three key facets:
Systems and engineering mindset - the ability to understand and assess technical concepts across hardware, software, and firmware domains. You will identify system dependencies, interfaces, technical risks, and the impact of key architectural decisions with the engineering team.
Execution focused - digging into the details, charting the path, and owning the outcome. You will utilize your technical aptitude in conjunction with program management and leadership skills to drive development through all phases to successful delivery.
Collaborative partnership - building strong relationships across internal teams (Hardware, Software, Firmware, Test, Supply Chain) and external stakeholders (suppliers, customers, contract manufacturers) to shape program success.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
Own the development and deployment of Anduril's TRS technologies from initial concept through mass production, ensuring all deliverables meet contractual requirements, milestones, and technical standards
Lead cross-functional engineering teams through the entire product lifecycle, fostering a highly collaborative, high-velocity development environment across Hardware, Software, Firmware, and Test functions
Serve as the bridge between Program Managers, General Manager, Chief Engineer, and functional engineering teams (Electrical, Mechanical, Systems Engineering, Software)
Organize and manage comprehensive system requirements, ensuring clarity, traceability, and alignment across all engineering disciplines and managing hardware/software integration dependencies
Drive program execution in a dynamic environment, adapting plans to embrace agile and iterative methodologies while managing cost, deliveries, execution risks, and schedule
Actively engage with critical external stakeholders, including suppliers, contract manufacturers, and government customers, developing strong relationships and tight feedback loops
Partner closely with supply chain functions (sourcing engineers, demand planning, supply chain management) to optimize material flow, mitigate risks, and ensure timely material readiness for production
Develop and implement lightweight processes, tools, and metrics for program planning, scope management, risk management, and stakeholder communication to enable rapid execution
Proactively identify, assess, and mitigate technical and program risks, developing contingency plans to ensure project timelines and deliverables are met
Autonomously execute on broad and/or ambiguous requirements from internal engineering, customers, and third-party partners to own successful delivery across multiple programs simultaneously
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree in Engineering (technical background required); Master's degree (MBA, M.S. in Engineering) highly preferred
Minimum of 5+ years of progressive experience in technical program management, managing the development of complex technical systems integrating both hardware and software throughout the product lifecycle
Strong background in hardware development programs, including familiarity with hardware/software interaction, embedded systems, firmware, and software infrastructure activities, with proven track record bringing products from concept to mass production
Direct experience with products integrating autonomy and AI capabilities (drones, UAVs, robotics, autonomous vehicles) is highly preferred
Proven track record of successfully managing complex, multi-million-dollar projects and driving their on-time, on-budget completion
Demonstrated ability to thrive in a very fast-paced, fluid environment where agility and iterative development are key
Proven experience managing complex system requirements from definition and organization to tracking and validation across hardware and software domains
Extensive experience engaging with external entities, including managing supplier relationships, contract manufacturers, and customer technical interactions
Familiarity with supply chain processes, including sourcing, demand/supply planning, and managing material readiness
Experience coordinating multiple internal and external teams within a complex engineering or technology-focused organization
