Job Overview
The Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for ensuring the warehouse team continually supports all facets of operations, to include inbound receiving, outbound shipping and logistics, and production control. The supervisor will oversee all systematic and transactional activities, will be the key resource for all warehouse team members, and will implement continuous improvement activities that will increase replenishment efficiency and inventory accuracy. As the warehouse supervisor, you will be instrumental in setting the standard for support for both internal and external stakeholders.
What You’ll Do:
Warehouse Operations & Workflow
Supervise daily warehouse operations including receiving, picking, replenishment, staging, shipping, and inventory movement
Monitor warehouse floor activity and identify workflow bottlenecks, congestion areas, and operational inefficiencies
Support warehouse organization initiatives including inventory relocation, floor pallet reduction, and bin/location optimization
Coordinate with cross-functional departments to improve operational flow and communication
Ensure proper inventory scanning, location discipline, and ERP/WMS process compliance
Help maintain organized staging areas and efficient space utilization throughout the warehouse
Attend and participate in meetings related to warehouse continuous improvements
Leadership & Team Management
Lead, coach, and support warehouse leads and associates through strong floor presence and communication
Promote accountability, teamwork, and operational discipline
Conduct employee coaching, training, and performance feedback
Help develop future team leads and high-potential employees
Partner with HR on attendance, employee relations, onboarding, and workplace concerns
Support a positive warehouse culture while maintaining operational standards
Inventory, Safety & Process Improvement
Monitor inventory accuracy and support cycle count / inventory control efforts
Identify root causes of operational errors and help implement corrective actions
Maintain warehouse safety standards, forklift traffic flow, and floor organization
Ensure compliance with company SOPs, safety procedures, and operational policies
Support continuous improvement initiatives related to warehouse organization and efficiency
Who You Are:
Required:
3+ years of warehouse leadership or warehouse supervisor experience
Experience supervising warehouse employees in fast-paced distribution or logistics environments
Strong understanding of warehouse workflow, inventory control, receiving, picking, and shipping operations
Experience working with ERP/WMS systems and RF scanners
Strong communication, coaching, and conflict resolution skills
Ability to work on the warehouse floor and lead through visibility and hands-on involvement
Strong organizational and operational problem-solving abilities
Preferred:
Experience improving warehouse organization, inventory discipline, or operational workflow
Experience working in fast pace environments
Experience leading operational change or process improvement initiatives
Forklift/cherry picker operational knowledge preferred
Lean, continuous improvement, 5S, and KPI exposure
