The CNC Operator II independently operates CNC machines, performs in-process inspections, and ensures consistent part quality and production flow using released programs and standard work. Tasks and responsibilities expected for this role include those captured by lower role specific levels.   This role involves working closely with engineers, production technicians, and operations teams to support multiple programs and value streams.   Key Responsibilities:   Independently operate CNC machines per released programs   Load parts and verify fixtures and tooling prior to run   Perform dimensional inspections using calipers, micrometers, and gauges   Identify trends in tool wear or part variation and escalate appropriately   Maintain production pace and meet output targets   Ensure documentation, traceability, and part labeling accuracy   Support basic machine maintenance (cleaning, lubrication checks)   Maintain compliance with safety and quality standards   Responsibilities:    Load and unload parts, fixtures, and materials into CNC machines   Run approved CNC programs without modification   Perform basic in-process inspections using hand tools (calipers, gauges)   Monitor machine operation and cycle times   Identify and report machine faults, tool wear, or quality concerns   Maintain clean, FOD-free work areas   Follow all safety, PPE, ESD, and quality requirements   Complete production documentation accurately   Qualifications:    High school diploma or equivalent; technical training preferred   1–3 years of CNC operation experience   Ability to read basic drawings and tolerances   Comfortable working independently with minimal supervision   Demonstrated Competencies: Consistent quality output   Strong adherence to standard work   Reliable judgment on when to escalate issues   Good communication with machinists and leads   Compensation: Tech II - $23.00 - $26.00(+10% shift differential) Pay range for this role $23 — $26 USD What's in it for you: Benefits:  Competitive total compensation package  Comprehensive benefit package options include medical, dental, vision, life, and more. 401k with company-match  4 weeks of paid time off each year 12 annual company holidays Why Join Zone 5 Technologies?
