The West Coast Studio Operations HR team at NBCUniversal is looking for a high-energy, results-driven and innovative HR Coordinator. The role is a perfect launch pad for someone interested in a career in HR providing experience in both generalist and specialist work.
We support the West Coast Studio Operations business at NBCU with a rich history in Film & TV as well as industry-leading production and post-production facilities and services, broadcast operations, studio property management, employee amenity services, special events, and marketing.
In this role, you will be the central nervous system of our HR team supporting our diverse group of employees. You will also have exposure to HR projects that span: onboarding, rewards and recognition, performance feedback, talent attraction and development, and HR’s business impact. In the day to day, you will help solve problems involving: Benefits, Payroll, Compensation, HR Operations, Talent Acquisition, Finance and Data Analytics.
Here you can:
Serve as the primary subject matter expert for HR systems and transactions, ensuring smooth, accurate, and timely processing that keeps the business operating efficiently.
Own end-to-end employee lifecycle transactions, including but not limited to job postings, onboarding communications, status changes, and offboarding processes, delivering a seamless employee experience at every stage.
Initiate and manage a variety of HR requests, including compensation analyses, employment agreements, organizational changes, and other employee-related actions, partnering cross-functionally to drive timely completion.
Process employee payment requests and collaborate closely with Payroll to ensure accuracy, compliance, and on-time delivery.
Support the implementation of HR programs and initiatives, including large-scale communications, event logistics, and tracking/reporting on participation and outcomes.
Proactively step into project coordination or leadership roles as needed, supporting both local HR initiatives and broader company-wide projects with strong organization and follow-through.
Research and respond to ad hoc inquiries from the HR team, business leaders, and employees, synthesizing information and delivering clear, timely, and well-informed insights or solutions.
Contribute creative ideas and execution support for employee engagement efforts, helping to design and deliver programs that enhance the employee experience across the full work lifecycle.
Maintain and audit HR data integrity, ensuring systems, reports, and organizational charts are accurate, up-to-date, and consistent across business units.
Leverage data to generate insights and tell a clear story, producing meaningful reports and metrics to support decision-making for a complex organization of 1,000+ employees across multiple locations.
Support compliance and operational excellence by staying informed on industry trends, regulatory changes, and best practices, helping the West Coast Studio Operations team and HR stay proactive and audit-ready.
Train and support business partners and employees on HR processes and tools, including timekeeping, onboarding practices, and system usage, promoting consistency and self-sufficiency.
What you’ll need:
1+ years of work experience
Bachelor’s Degree OR equivalent work experience
Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
Useful experience:
Union experience
