The Test Technician is responsible for being a key contributor to our overall testing team. Working both with internal and external customers. This role includes physical setup of dynamometer systems and customer test parts. Test parts are generally automotive in nature but may be test associated with other industries as well. Test technicians work with test engineers to bring testing systems together and support operations. This role requires the ability to successfully manage tasks and assignments in multiple areas. Initiative and ownership of responsibilities are critical to the success of this individual. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:  Support engineers/customers when needed   Setting up test cells   Assemble automotive/propulsion systems  Cleaning/Organizing test cells and facilities   Building oil conditioning carts   Fabricating and/or machining fixturing   Keeping workspace clean (Shop/Trash cans/Fab room)   Keeping cells running after shop hours   Maintaining shop inventory   Support troubleshooting    Other duties as requested  Assists in supporting the UTAC culture and values (Integrity, Expertise, and Innovation)  Education and Skill Requirements:  High School degree or equivalent experience  2+ years of relevant work experience in the automotive (or other propulsion system) industry preferred  Fluency in the English language is required  Demonstrated record of driving results  Strong problem solving, strategic thinking and analytical skills required  Able to relay technical information in a way your audience understands  Consistently exhibit appropriate attendance habits, working the hours necessary to perform the job  Demonstrated interpersonal skills and be able to communicate effectively with all levels of employees, customers, and suppliers  Proficient with all Microsoft Office applications and the ability to become proficient in any systems that we use (Concur, Kronos, etc.)  Flexibility to support service activity both off-site and outside of normal working hours  Organize and maintain efficiency of personal work area  Working knowledge of the automotive industry preferred  Experience in the vehicle testing and validation industry preferred  Excellent written and verbal communication skills required  Strong time management, multi-tasking, and organizational skills  Able to function as part of a team, with members of varying job levels, and work cooperatively toward team goals  Must have excellent interpersonal skills and be able to communicate effectively with all levels of employees, customers and suppliers  Organize and maintain efficiency of personal work area  Strong problem solving and analytical skills  Valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle for traveling between multiple work sites as needed  Valid passport and willingness to travel domestically and internationally as needed  Required on-site work as needed, per our Remote Work Policy  Give and accept instructions and tasks in a positive manner, treating all co-workers with dignity and respect  Consistently adhere to, and support all UTAC policies, procedures, and safety regulations  Candidate recommended to have their own basic automotive tool set  Strong attention to detail required  Exceptional work ethic and positive attitude required  Self-starter, who can multi-task and possess strong communication skills  Able to function as part of a team, with members of varying job levels, and work cooperatively toward team goals  Physical Requirements:  Exposure to industry accepted chemicals and noise  Regularly required to stand, reach, bend and move about the facility  Able to lift and/or move materials as needed in the performance of assigned duties  Requirements include, but are not limited to stand, walk, sit, twist, bed, life, see, speak, hear  May require occasional travel (locally, nationally, internationally)  All your information will be kept confidential according to EEO guidelines.
