We are seeking an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist (AMFT) , Associate Professional Clinical Counselor (APCC) , or Associate Clinical Social Worker (ACSW) to join our team.
What You Bring to SBHG (Qualifications):
Education: Master’s degree in psychology, social work, or a related mental health field. (Recently graduates are welcome and encouraged to apply!)
Licensure: Registered with the California Board of Behavioral Sciences (BBS) as an Associate (AMFT, ACSW, or APCC).
Compliance & Safety:
Must be 18 years of age or older.
Valid California Driver’s License with an eligible driving record.
First Aid certification from an approved agency (such as the American Red Cross) or the ability to obtain it upon hire.
How you will make a difference :
This position assesses clients at start of treatment (reviews as needed), develops and maintains treatment plans, and conducts family collateral and discharge planning. Duties include discussing goals and objectives of proposed treatment plans and establishing a contract with the consumer. Interviewing consumers to team with mental health professionals in determining the needs of individuals or groups on a walk-in/telephone basis; respond to potential suicide or other emergency events. Visit clients, individually or as part of a team, in a variety of living situations, to help assess the mental health needs of individuals and families, observe progress, provide counseling, gather data, and report significant changes in the client's condition to designated professional staff.
Division/Program Overview:
• The Crisis Residential Treatment (CRT) is a short-term voluntary residential facility.
• Designed to help adult residents, ages 18-59, who experience a psychiatric crisis to
safely stabilize, recover, and transition back to community.
Services include:
• 24/7 Program
• Therapeutic and mental health services
• Rehabilitation/recovery services, including substance use rehabilitation services
• Pre-vocational or vocational counseling
• Medication evaluation and support services
• Daily exercise and health/wellness education
• Crisis intervention
