Lead TRUMPF's service delivery across California by managing in-house and field service technicians. You'll coordinate end-to-end maintenance and repair operations, serve as the primary customer contact, and drive operational excellence and continuous improvement. This role requires strong leadership, operational rigor and a customer-first mindset.
Leadership & Operations
Lead, mentor, and manage a mixed team service technicians & in house
Plan and schedule service missions, optimizing skills, travel, and resources
Prioritize cases by machine criticality and customer impact
Coordinate tools, parts, documentation, and safety compliance
Customer & Stakeholder Management
Serve as primary contact for customers and sales on service requests and escalations
Drive fast technical resolutions and manage critical incident communications
Collaborate with sales teams and TRUMPF technology managers
Performance Management
Monitor and improve service KPIs; drive continuous improvement initiatives
Ensure team compliance with TRUMPF standards and best practices
Own customer satisfaction and profitability of California operations
Travel 20–30% as needed
Required Qualifications 5+ years in service operations, field service coordination, or technical service management (industrial machinery, machine tools, or lasers)
Proven leadership in fast-paced environments with escalation management
Data-driven approach to performance management and KPIs
Advanced MS Office; familiarity with ERP and logistics systems
Excellent communication and customer-first mindset
Education Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Operations, Industrial Technology, or related field (equivalent experience considered)
Pay Range (base): $94,090 to $133,024
