AlertMedia is seeking a business-minded attorney with a solid understanding of technology contracts and experience in managing and negotiating a high volume of commercial transactions ranging from our SMB customers to Fortune 100 global enterprises. You will help AlertMedia continue its growth and success, with a focus on contracting for customers, vendors, and strategic partnerships. You will be the lead attorney working on a variety of innovative legal issues across the entire company. You will be required to leverage your expertise, good judgement, and strong business sense to help us grow, while assessing and mitigating legal risk.

You are relentlessly stakeholder focused to ensure timing expectations are met. You are risk aware in protecting the business legally but not risk adverse to a fault. You can balance being very detail-oriented with being able to see the big picture. You are comfortable staying on top of fast-moving information and able to respond at a moment’s notice, and you bring a sense of urgency to everything you do. You see yourself as a team player and consultant working closely with internal and external stakeholders to drive negotiations to completeness.
What you get to do every day:
Contract Drafting, Review and Negotiations: Review, draft, negotiate, and revise a high volume of commercial agreements, including SaaS subscription agreements, MSAs, DPAs, NDAs, procurement agreements, and vendor contracts. Operate effectively within an SLA-driven contracting environment while ensuring alignment with AlertMedia’s risk profile, legal requirements, and business objectives. Apply practical judgment to resolve routine issues efficiently and escalate non-standard risk appropriately.
AI and Process Innovation : Leverage AI-enabled legal tools, contract lifecycle management systems, and standardized workflows to improve productivity, consistency, and scalability of legal support. Continuously identify opportunities to streamline processes, reduce friction in contracting, and enhance the quality and speed of legal work product.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner closely with Sales, Finance, Deal Desk, Procurement, and Executive leadership to align contract terms with strategic priorities. Help drive deals forward by proactively managing internal stakeholder expectations and balancing legal risk with commercial objectives.
Stakeholder Support and Enablement: Provide timely, clear, and actionable legal guidance to the Sales and Customer Success teams during deal cycles. Train and mentor internal stakeholders on legal and negotiation best practices to improve contract turnaround times.
Regulatory and Privacy Expertise: Stay up to date on legal trends affecting the SaaS industry, including data privacy laws like GDPR and CCPA. Support the review and negotiation of Data Processing Agreements (DPAs) and related security documentation in partnership with AlertMedia’s security and compliance teams.
Risk Management: Risk Management: Assess legal and operational risk associated with contract terms and provide business-oriented recommendations that support efficient decision-making. Help ensure AlertMedia’s contractual standards are consistently applied while maintaining a practical and solutions-oriented approach.
What you bring to the role:
You Thrive in a High-Volume, High-Growth Environment: Experience managing a substantial volume of contracts and competing priorities in a fast-paced, SLA-oriented legal or contracting environment. Able to balance responsiveness, consistency, and attention to detail under tight timelines.
You Have Strong Commercial Judgment: Demonstrated ability to negotiate commercial agreements pragmatically and efficiently while balancing legal protections with business objectives. Experience supporting SaaS, technology, or subscription-based businesses is preferred.
You are a Daily User of AI and Technology at Work: Actively leverage AI tools, automation, and legal technology to improve productivity, consistency, and operational effectiveness. Comfortable adapting to technology-enabled legal workflows and process-driven environments.
You are an Excellent Communicator: Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to simplify complex legal issues and effectively influence both legal and non-legal stakeholders across all levels of the business.
You are Practical and Business-Oriented: Approaches legal issues with a pragmatic, solutions-focused mindset and a strong customer-service orientation. Understands how to appropriately assess risk without unnecessarily slowing the business.
You are Organized and Detail-Oriented: Highly organized with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple workstreams independently while maintaining high-quality work product.
You are a Collaborative Team Player: Works effectively across teams, contributes positively to team culture, and demonstrates professionalism, integrity, and sound judgment in all interactions.
Minimum requirements:
JD, with admission to at least one bar admission
2+ of years of in-house experience wit
